I was thrilled to find out that my cousin Blair and her kids would be visiting from Wyoming and beyond excited that they wanted me to take some pictures! One of things I love about photographing children is you never really know what to expect of your subjects until the exact moment they step in front of the lens. One step out of my car and it was immediately obvious that these little girls were going to make this shoot exciting! Isa (4) and Sylvi (2) charged towards me with huge smiles and arms spread for a hug! YESSSS! Not only were they dressed to perfection in my eyes but their sweet dispositions and sense of humor had me awe struck the entire shoot! Slyvi and Isa are different in many ways and I so enjoyed seeing how each responded to the camera. I couldn't help but laugh while I was going back through the images trying to find a shot with both of them smiling at me - hey, you pick your battles! LOL! I just love how even in the shots together they both seem to be so independent - each with their own idea of how to pose, where to look, how to hold their hands . . . I even learned a thing or two from Miss Isa (future Botanist)! At the end of the day you can only hope for that one picture out of 100 that makes it all worth while. Blair - I hope I captured the true beauty and personality of your precious girls and if you ever need a break I will be more than happy to take those angels off of your hands! I am in love with them!
